Hell-O-Ween

Halloween is a fun time for American people. Its supposed to be dressing up as someone who is not alive anymore but now-a-days the concept has changed a lot. We dress up as whoever we want to, at times as our family and friends too..

USC had its Halloween party but I didnt go. I was way tired to think of doing anything on Saturday, forget waking up early and dressing up and go see same faces I have been seeing EVERYDAY. It was finally my day off and I literally stayed in my bed until 3pm and rested while playing on my phone. Later in the evening, I managed to create a dress for myself, showing off my enthusiasm for the festival, and went to a friend's place for South Asian Queer movie night. Of course everyone there was queer (LGBTIQQ) and I was the only one, as usual, straight girl. I was asked AGAIN if I am open to the bi-sexual relationship with someone or want to just give it a try...blah blah blah...I obviously refused but still had a fun time. All of a sudden we planned to have an after party at my place so many friends came over and we hung out for hours...literally, we ate, drank, played games, sung some songs and enjoyed the evening. That was my desi connection with my emotional family in the US. Without these little parties its hard for me to stay sane. After everyone left at around 2.30 or so, my another friend came over at around 3.30am and we talked for hours...basically my day started late and ended late but for sure was a fun day.

While watching South Asian Queer movie, I remembered how much I loved film making, and how much my documentary needed to be finished...I miss the pre, during and post production fun time...and I am determined to finish my documentary asap...hoping this December I will not go anywhere and will finish shooting and editing my film, Amen!

It was a fun Hell-O-Ween day for sure...and since my roommate is gone for the weekend, I had the whole place to myself which I enjoyed a lot :-)
